Aluminum is done & we need your input on Zinc

Hey Everyone!
All 3,100 Aluminum dice are done being machined and laser engraved and have been sent to the polishing factory. The Iron (stainless steel) dice are being CNC'd as we speak and then copper & Tin will be next. There was a bit of a delay on finding a source that provided 99.9% copper but we have found a good supplier and they are sending the raw copper to the CNC factory to machine after the Iron dice are done.
We are noticing that no matter what we do with pure Zinc there are very small holes that can randomly appear on the surface. Once its polished most of the holes go away but there are still a few tiny ones that appear at random. The only way to get rid of that completely is to create an alloy but it dilutes the purity of the Zinc quite a bit so we think it would be better to keep the zinc as pure as possible and accept the small random holes that might appear but we want your input. See the picture below.
Let us know in the comments if you would rather have the zinc stay 99% pure & have the chance of having some of these tiny random dark holes seen in the picture below or have it diluted below 90% & be more smooth.
Thanks!

Feedback request about Shipping

Hey Everyone,
We need your feedback. Have you ever backed a campaign that shipped your reward to you directly from China? Everything should be finished up at the factories in the next few weeks & the original plan was to freight it to our warehouse here in the U.S. & then begin shipping it out to all of you but we have heard from several people that shipping the rewards directly to each backer from a fulfillment center in China is often just as fast & with the current Covid-19 related air/ocean freight & port back logs this may be a faster way to get your rewards into each of your hands.
I have never been part of a campaign that shipped their rewards directly from China so I am curious if anyone here has been part of a campaign that did that? How was your experience? The fulfillment center we are discussing with out of China seems very professional and experienced but I am curious if anyone has already had experience from another Kickstarter campaign shipping your rewards this way?

Anyone who paid for your add-on with a credit card:
You still have not been charged so your shipping fees have been removed if you followed the directions from the last update.
Anyone who paid for your add-ons with PayPal:
We will begin refunding those shipping fees. We have to do it manually so it will be a slower process but you should see those returning to your Paypal account next week.
PACKAGE PRINT SAMPLE #1 & EVA TRAY
SALT WATER OXIDATION TEST
We are testing a comparision of passivation, nano-coating and annodized oxidation to see which yeilds the best result. The CNC step of mass production will be done soon and then the next step is to laser everything and then the final step will be to nanocoat or passify the elements that are extra prone to oxidize
ACTION NEEDED: How to remove shipping fees from your add-ons

Hey Everyone,
We were able to get BackerKit to help us finalize the solution to remove the shipping fees for your add-on items. All new add-ons from today forward will not have a shipping fee but action is needed on your part to remove shipping fees from items you have already selected.
IMPORTANTACTION NEEDED: what you need to do is go back into your BackerKit survey and remove your previous add-ons & re-add what you want. Anything that says (NEW) on the end will not have any shipping fees.
i.e. STRETCH GOAL: Tin Dice (NEW)
Any new add ons will no longer have shipping fees but if you have already selected your add-ons their software is not able to allow us to remove the old shipping fees from what you have already selected so it is important that you go in and do this on your end now in order to remove those fees.
Note: We have extended the survey window two weeks to give everyone time to see this update and update their add-ons to remove those mistaken shipping feesbefore cards are charged.
